The FX5 bridges the gap between the compact handling of the FX3 and the high-end production features found in the FX6. With a newly developed 16.6MP Exmor RS sensor, internal RAW recording, and 5K Open Gate capture, the FX5 reduces rolling shutter through faster sensor readout, supports Fast Hybrid AF, delivers 15+ stops of dynamic range, and supports high frame rate recording up to 5K 60p and 4K 120p. The included Sony XLR-H2 XLR Handle Unit adds 32-bit float audio recording and improved handheld balance, extending the camera’s production-ready capabilities while maintaining its compact form factor.
