The Voigtländer MACRO APO-LANTHAR 65mm f/2 Lens is a prime lens designed exclusively for Sony E-mount full-frame sensors, incorporating an apochromatic optical design. The APO-LANTHAR designation is reserved for especially high-performance lenses in the Voigtländer lineup, with APO referring to its advanced apochromatic construction.
Sharp imaging performance is achieved from the maximum aperture, allowing for beautiful background blur, while a floating mechanism ensures outstanding image quality from the minimum focusing distance of 0.31m (1:2 reproduction ratio) through to infinity.
This lens features a manual focus and manual aperture design, along with electronic contacts that enable lens settings to be recorded in EXIF data. It also includes a distance encoder to support 5-axis image stabilisation on compatible camera bodies by providing subject distance information for enhanced X and Y shift compensation. Focus peaking during manual focusing is also supported.
